Softball Game Preview: Triad Cardinals vs. West Jefferson Roughriders

For the second straight game, Triad will face off against West Jefferson. The Cardinals will be playing at home against the Roughriders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Triad: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home, while West Jefferson has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.

Triad fell victim to West Jefferson and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Roughriders.

For West Jefferson's part, the team relied heavily on Payton Kincade, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles Kincade has posted since back in April of 2024. Emma Trein was another key player, earning two RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

West Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Triad, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
