Basketball Recap: Clay Takes a Loss

Clay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Perrysburg Yellow Jackets 54-19. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 488th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 102nd).

Despite the loss, Clay still got an impressive performance from Brynn Reiter, who went 6 of 12 en route to 13 points and five rebounds.

Clay's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Perrysburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Clay has already played their next match, a 35-24 victory against Bowling Green on the 6th. As for Perrysburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-33 loss against Anthony Wayne on the 6th.
