Effingham came out on top against Mahomet-Seymour on Saturday thanks in part to Madi Kirk's efforts. Kirk wasn't messing around, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The game was her third straight with at least one stolen base.

Kirk's strong effort led Effingham over Mahomet-Seymour and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long.
