Volleyball Recap: Westland Comes Up Short

Westland came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Westerville North Warriors, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.

The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22, 25-10.

Kylie Murphy paced Westland's offense, picking up ten kills. Murphy got some help from Audrey Alves and her 13 assists.

Westland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Westerville North, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-7 record this season.

Westland will welcome Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Westerville North, they will venture away from home to take on Big Walnut at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
