Soccer Recap: Marshall Falls Short Against Ranked Hannibal

Marshall faced Hannibal in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Owls came up short against the Pirates, falling 8-0. Marshall haven't had much luck with Hannibal recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Hannibal, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marshall will square off against Warrensburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hannibal, they will face off against Cardinal Ritter College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
