Baseball Game Preview: Kanab Cowboys vs. Parowan Rams

For the second straight game, Kanab will face off against Parowan. The Cowboys will be playing at home against the Rams at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Kanab's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Parowan's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Kanab barely beat Parowan the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cowboys were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Rams on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Cowboys in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won five in a row.

Walker Baird spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kash Kabonic, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Anderson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Parowan is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7. As for Kanab, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
