Volleyball Recap: West Muskingum Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

West Muskingum had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Philo Electrics by a score of 3-2. The Tornadoes were not able to make up for their defeat to the Electrics from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

West Muskingum took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-23, 21-25, 25-23, 15-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Muskingum will venture away from home to face off against Morgan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Tornadoes their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Philo, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Athens at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
