Baseball Game Preview: Santa Rosa Panthers vs. Montgomery Vikings

For the second straight game, Santa Rosa will face off against Montgomery. The Panthers will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. Santa Rosa will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Santa Rosa will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Montgomery, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Vikings 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted against the Vikings since April 27, 2018.

The team relied heavily on Will Philip, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mateo Fitzgerald, who went 3-for-4 with one run.

Santa Rosa hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive games.
