Firestone hadn't done well against Buchtel recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Falcons secured a 44-39 W over the Griffins. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 73-46 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Firestone has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 58.5 points this season. As for Buchtel, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
