The South Carolina High School League (SCHSL) and MaxPreps, the online high school sports leader, have announced a partnership agreement
The South Carolina High School League (SCHSL) and MaxPreps, the online high school sports leader, have announced a partnership agreement that will enable the SCHSL to provide a customized sports information platform for its member schools.
MaxPreps and the SCHSL will offer a publishing platform across desktop, tablet and mobile that will streamline the process of managing sports information from hundreds of member schools and several thousand contests each month.
The partnership enables all box score information published on MaxPreps.com to be automatically provided to the SCHSL for use in managing various initiatives. Beginning in the 2016-17 school year, coaches will need to submit scores to MaxPreps after each game to accurately track regular season standings and results used for post-season qualifications. In addition, coaches will need to submit statistics in order to be included in SCHSL statewide statistical leaderboards, records, various media publications and other initiatives.
"MaxPreps is honored to partner with the South Carolina High School League to provide an efficient and streamlined process to highlight all member schools and South Carolina student-athletes," said Andy Beal, president and founder of MaxPreps. "MaxPreps is committed to working with State High School Associations nationwide to protect and strengthen education based athletics. We look forward to working with the SCHSL to help further their goals and provide positive coverage of all member schools."
"We are excited for the chance to begin a partnership with MaxPreps," said South Carolina High School League Commissioner Jerome Singleton. "All our member schools will have the opportunity to use their dynamic platform to organize stats and scores. The MaxPreps scoreboard and statistical platform will take the South Carolina High School League to a new level. We look forward to our coaches and teams getting involved and learning how to simplify our scoring process".
