Basketball Recap: Accelerate Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Sharp Academy last Monday, Accelerate Christian came back down to earth. The Accelerate Christian Warriors received a blow on Friday as they fell 46-28 to the Jesus Chapel Chargers.

Despite the loss, Accelerate Christian still got an impressive performance from Jaxon Leyendecker, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 16 points along with six boards and four steals. The dominant performance gave Leyendecker a new career-high in steals.

Accelerate Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Jesus Chapel, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5.

While Accelerate Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
