Softball Preview: Harding Skippers vs. Badger Braves
Harding is 0-5 against Badger since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Harding Skippers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Badger Braves at 5:00 p.m.
Harding was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat. They fell 11-6 to Bristol.
Meanwhile, Badger had just enough and edged Bloomfield out 8-7 on Thursday. The win was just what Badger needed coming off of a 13-3 loss in their prior contest.
Isabella Bailey made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). Bailey was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Savannah Steh was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Abbey Dubelko was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Harding's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Badger, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
