Basketball Recap: Beardstown Comes Up Short

Beardstown played a tough contest on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 60-38 to the Pittsfield Saukees. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Saukees: they've now lost three in a row.

Pittsfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lincoln McCartney, who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points in addition to five assists and five steals. Reese Ramsey was another key player, going 6 for 9 on her way to 14 points and three steals.

Beardstown's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Pittsfield, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-2.

Beardstown has already played their next game (against Pleasant Hill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pittsfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 50-27 victory against Louisiana on the 23rd.
