Soccer Recap: San Marcos Comes Up Short

San Marcos's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Oxnard Yellowjackets by a score of 2-1. The Royals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Yellowjackets earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

San Marcos' goal came courtesy of Luis Campos, who's now up to four this season.

San Marcos' defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5-2. As for Oxnard, they pushed their record up to 10-4-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

San Marcos will welcome Pacifica on Tuesday. Pacifica will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something San Marcos surely won't give up without a fight. As for Oxnard, they are taking a road trip to take on Santa Barbara at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Oxnard is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.
