Basketball Game Preview: Bonham Warriors vs. Sulphur Springs Wildcats

The Bonham Warriors will face off against the Sulphur Springs Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Tuesday, Bonham ended up a good deal behind North Lamar and lost 64-50. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite their defeat, Bonham saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Heath Brown, who went 7 for 15 on his way to 18 points and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. That's the most points Brown has posted since back in November of 2024. Dj Stewart was another key player, putting up 14 points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Sulphur Springs unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 67-57 to Paris.

Sulphur Springs' loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-9. As for Bonham, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.
