Basketball Recap: STX Skates Past Varsity Opponent with Ease

STX won against Science and Tech on Saturday with 69 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The STX Saints breezed by Varsity Opponent to the tune of 69-25. Winning may never get old, but the Saints sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

STX's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caedmon Williams, who went 6 for 9 en route to 16 points and six steals. The game was Williams' fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cisco Moreno, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 16 points and seven assists.

STX smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

STX's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-12.

STX will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on San Isidro at 7:00 p.m. on February 4th. As for Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-41 defeat against Bilingual Christian Academy & Tech on the 18th.
