Softball Recap: Henry Clay Takes a Loss

Henry Clay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 12-7 to the Tates Creek Commodores. The Blue Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Commodores earlier this season, when they won 13-8.

Mady Henry made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.

Henry Clay's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Tates Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 6-13.

Looking ahead, Henry Clay will venture away from home to face off against Woodford County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellowjackets have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Tates Creek, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lexington Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
