Volleyball Game Preview: Browne Bruins vs. Camelback Spartans

For the first time this season, Browne will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to face off against the Camelback Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Browne came up short against Valley Vista and fell 3-1. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 20-25, 25-14, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Camelback was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Valley Vista.

Camelback took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-22, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Camelback saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Phillip Gonzales had 14 assists and eight digs.

Browne's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Camelback, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Browne suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Camelback when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Bruins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
