Soccer Recap: Carmel Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Carmel had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. Their defense stepped up to hand the Pacific Grove Breakers a 3-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for Carmel in their matchups with Pacific Grove: they've now won six in a row.

Carmel hit Pacific Grove with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Miro Balaban, Rigo Carrera, and Bodhi Melton.

Pacific Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carmel will welcome Santa Cruz at 5:15 a.m. on Friday. As for Pacific Grove, they will be playing at home against Seaside at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
