Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clinton). Everything went their way against the Fairfield Central Griffins on Thursday as they made off with a 12-0 victory. Give Clinton's defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting Fairfield Central from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Gracie Baker led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by herself.

Clinton's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-6-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four matchups. As for Fairfield Central, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-11.
