Football Recap: Scranton Knights vs. Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns

Scranton extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-5. They took a blow against the Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns, falling 35-7. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buckhorns apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

As for Wallenpaupack Area, they moved to 3-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Wallenpaupack Area's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ed Kiesendahl, who rushed for 154 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries. The Buckhorns are undefeated when Kiesendahl posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 0-4 otherwise. Another rusher making a difference was Logan Caruso, who rushed for 129 yards and one TD while picking up 7.6 yards per carry.
