Recap: Mercer Island Islanders vs. Inglemoor Vikings
The Mercer Island Islanders won the last time they faced the Inglemoor Vikings, and things went their way on Saturday too. Mercer Island walked away with a 58-51 victory over Inglemoor. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mercer Island.
Mercer Island got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Elianna Weiss out in front who scored 16 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Weiss has scored at least 25% of Mercer Island's points. Another player making a difference was Caitlin Monahan, who scored 10 points along with 5 steals.
Mercer Island's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Inglemoor, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
