Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the California City Ravens walked away with it. They took down the Golden Eagles 70-56 on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for California City as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

California City's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carlito Brown, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season. Cassius 'Hollywood' Brown was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Several Golden Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alfonso Castro, who scored six points along with 11 assists and five rebounds. Castro is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cristian Duran, who scored 11 points.

Even though they lost, Lone Pine were working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as California City only posted six assists.

California City now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Lone Pine, their loss ended a eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-4.

California City will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Mammoth at 6:00 p.m. Mammoth will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something California City surely won't give up without a fight. Lone Pine does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
