New Madrid County Central came into Thursday's contest looking for another win against Sikeston, but Londyn Mitchell wouldn't allow it. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 3-1 on Thursday for which the team can thank Mitchell, who had 28 digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

The win didn't come easy: New Madrid County Central scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 20-25, 27-25.

Sikeston's record now sits at 10-14-1. As for New Madrid County Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.

Sikeston will welcome East Prairie at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. New Madrid County Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
