Softball Game Preview: Kennedy Eagles vs. Crosby Bulldogs

The Kennedy Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Crosby Bulldogs at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Crosby took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Kennedy, who comes in off a win.

Kennedy will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Friday, then bounced right back against Derby on Tuesday. The Eagles walked away with a 10-6 win over the Red Raiders.

Meanwhile, Crosby fell victim to Torrington and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 12-0 to the Raiders. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Kennedy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Crosby, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Everything went Kennedy's way against Crosby in their previous meeting on April 10th, as Kennedy made off with a 17-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
