Softball Recap: Houston Falls Short Against Ranked Kenai Central

Houston faced Kenai Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Hawks came up short against the Kardinals, falling 23-11. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (ten), the Hawks still had to take the loss.

Houston's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Kenai Central, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Houston will face off against rival Palmer at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kenai Central is set to square off against their familiar foe Soldotna at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
