It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Clinton can now relate to. They fell just short of the Southwestern Randolph Cougars by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Clinton's defeat signaled the end of their 15-game winning streak.

Their goal came courtesy of Nelson Guerrero, who's now up to 16 this season.

Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 25-3. As for Southwestern Randolph, they pushed their record up to 26-1 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home.

Clinton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southwestern Randolph, they will face off against Newton-Conover at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Southwestern Randolph's defense better be ready for this one: Newton-Conover have averaged an impressive 4.7 goals per game this season.
