Softball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Riverdale's Tenth in Last 11 Outings

Riverdale won against Sherrard on Saturday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Rams blew past the Mendota Trojans 15-5. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won 15 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Katie Cox, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Dalaska, who went 1-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.

Riverdale has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Mendota, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.

Coming up, Riverdale will be playing at home against Rockridge at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Rams have won seven straight at home, while the Rockets won 11 straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Mendota, they will head out to challenge Sherrard at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
