Softball Game Preview: Sam Houston Texans vs. Haltom Buffalos

Sam Houston is 0-3 against Haltom since March of 2024 but things could change on Thursday. The Texans will head out to challenge the Buffalos at 6:00 p.m. Sam Houston will be strutting in after a win while Haltom will be coming in after a defeat.

Sam Houston made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Grand Prairie, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Texans were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over the Gophers on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Texans.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 16 runs the game before, Haltom was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Grand Prairie. The shutout was out of character for the Buffalos seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Haltom's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Sam Houston, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Sam Houston suffered a grim 14-4 defeat to Haltom when the teams last played back in March. Can the Texans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
