Softball Recap: Poway Titans vs. Bonita Vista Barons
Poway had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They beat the Bonita Vista Barons by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in April.
Mya McGowan was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched seven innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. McGowan was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Sophia Burmeister was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Alyssa Menges was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
