Baseball Game Preview: Bolivar Liberators vs. Branson Pirates

The Bolivar Liberators will head out to take on the Branson Pirates at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Branson took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Bolivar, who comes in off a win.

Bolivar is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Warsaw with a sharp 20-6 victory on Monday. The Liberators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by eight runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Branson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Carthage. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Pirates couldn't push the score so high this time.

Branson's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Bolivar, their win bumped their record up to 12-8.

Bolivar suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Branson in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Liberators avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
