Basketball Recap: Rocky Mount Prep Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Rocky Mount Prep and Southeast Collegiate Prep Academy, and Southeast Collegiate Prep Academy kept the tradition alive. The Jaguars fell 52-42 to the Trojans on Tuesday. Despite the loss, Rocky Mount Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mykhalah Lynch posted 12 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. Lynch has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played.

Southeast Collegiate Prep Academy found their leader in sophomore Ke'Shiya Evans, who put up 20 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zakhiyah Morgan, who earned 12 points and four steals.

Rocky Mount Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Southeast Collegiate Prep Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Rocky Mount Prep will be playing in front of their home fans against Northwest Halifax at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
