Enterprise is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Corning. Enterprise took their contest on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 47-0 victory over Corning. The win was some much needed relief for the Hornets as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Enterprise had a senior duo take command as Dashawn Townsend rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries and Jj Johnson threw for 57 yards and three touchdowns. Porter Fischer was Johnson's top target, picking up 38 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Enterprise was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 260 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.
Enterprise's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Dominick Hernandez and Johnson.
Meanwhile, West Valley couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 34-14 to Red Bluff on Friday.
West Valley's loss came about despite a quality game from Cooper Staup, who rushed for 126 yards.
