Soccer Game Preview: Oakleaf vs. Bishop Snyder

Oakleaf is on a five-game streak of home losses, Bishop Snyder a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Oakleaf Knights will host the Bishop Snyder Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Oakleaf fell victim to Beachside and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They came up short against the Barracudas, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 258th, while the Barracudas are ranked 51st).

Meanwhile, Bishop Snyder also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 10-0 to Trinity Catholic on Thursday.

Bishop Snyder's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Oakleaf, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7-1.

Everything went Oakleaf's way against Bishop Snyder in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as Oakleaf made off with a 6-0 win. Does Oakleaf have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bishop Snyder turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
