Chichester had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Interboro Buccaneers. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly six runs.

Cole Sanford was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, Alex Kester was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. Matt Johanson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Chichester pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Interboro, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4.

Coincidentally, Chichester and Interboro will both be playing Academy Park the next time they take the field. The Buccaneers will head out to face the Knights at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Eagles will host them at 3:45 p.m. on the 24th.
