Football Recap: Trabuco Hills Starts Season with Victory at Home + How To Watch

Trabuco Hills took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 20-19 photo finish over the Huntington Beach Oilers. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Oilers, too.

Trabuco Hills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brody Lancaster and Joshua Fitch.

Huntington Beach's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Troy Foster, who picked up 141 receiving yards and two scores. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Edmunds, who threw for 214 yards and three TDs.

Huntington Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Trabuco Hills has already played their next matchup, a 29-20 win against St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy on the 5th. As for Huntington Beach, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 48-7 victory against Western on the 4th.
