Baseball Recap: Carney Triumphs

Carney came out on top against Mulhall-Orlando on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Bulldogs won by a run and slipped past the Panthers 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since April 7, 2025.

The win made it two in a row for Carney and bumps their season record up to 8-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Mulhall-Orlando, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-3.

The future could be bright for both Carney and Mulhall-Orlando: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Bulldogs will try to hand Coyle their fifth-straight loss when the two meet at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mulhall-Orlando will look to extend Kremlin-Hillsdale's seven-game losing streak when they meet at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
