Basketball Recap: Jennavieve Lycos Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Calvary Baptist Academy

After losing to Calvary Baptist Academy the last time they met, Webberville decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Webberville Spartans walked away with a 48-39 victory over the Calvary Baptist Academy Kings on Friday. While the Spartans didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Webberville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jennavieve Lycos led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 boards and ten assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Haley Proctor, who went 8 for 12 en route to 16 points and seven rebounds.

Webberville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.
