Recap: McClymonds Warriors vs. Pleasant Valley Vikings
On Saturday, McClymonds was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 45-44 to Pleasant Valley.
McClymonds' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jimmy Bush, who scored eight points.
Pleasant Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacob Martin, who scored ten points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Rick, who scored five points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
McClymonds' loss dropped their record down to 15-3. As for Pleasant Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
McClymonds will look to defend their home court on Friday against Oakland Tech at 7:00 p.m. Pleasant Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Shasta at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Shasta will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
