Flag Football Game Preview: Whitney Wildcats vs. Menlo-Atherton Bears + How To Watch

The Whitney Wildcats will face off against the Menlo-Atherton Bears at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Whitney's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They managed a 6-0 victory over Del Oro.

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Elyse Sutton, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

One reason for the win was Whitney's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for eight sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Kayla Mougeotte and Sutton, who racked up all eight sacks between them. Mougeotte has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last four times she's played.

Meanwhile, Menlo-Atherton posted their closest win since October 7, 2024 on Wednesday. They skirted past Mills 9-6.

Menlo-Atherton's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Whitney, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
