Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only O'Fallon walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lincoln-Way East Griffins on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for O'Fallon, who have now won 18 matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Claire Nieroda and Addison Taake scored all three of O'Fallon's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 26 goals.

The win (which was O'Fallon's ninth in a row) raised their record to 21-1-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those nine games. As for Lincoln-Way East, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 18-4-1 record.

Coming up, O'Fallon will square off against Barrington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few goals on average (O'Fallon 0.2, Barrington 0.2) so any goals scored will be well earned. Lincoln-Way East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
