Basketball Recap: Khrie Rascoe's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hobgood Charter over Bear Grass Charter

Hobgood Charter suffered their biggest defeat since December 20, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Bear Grass Charter Bears, falling 79-57. The Raiders were not able to make up for their loss to the Bears from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Khrie Rascoe, who posted 20 points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Tutor, who had nine points and four steals.

Hobgood Charter dropped their record down to 6-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Bear Grass Charter, their record is now 8-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hobgood Charter will host Ocracoke at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bear Grass Charter, they will be playing at home against Mattamuskeet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
