Basketball Recap: Edmonson County's Run of Eight Straight Wins Now Over

After flying high against Russellville back in February, Edmonson County came back down to earth. The Edmonson County Wildcats took a hard 48-29 fall against the Daviess County Panthers on Tuesday. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 49-47.

The loss snapped Edmonson County's winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 16-9-1 record. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points over those games. As for Daviess County, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-12 record this season.

As of now, neither Edmonson County nor Daviess County have any future games scheduled.
