Liberty waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They never let the Hargrave Falcons get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 7-5 victory the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Not much got past Logan Ross, who gave up just three hits to keep Hargrave off the board. Ross has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Liberty's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Frankie Marez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Marez has posted since back in March.

Liberty pushed their record up to 13-8-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Hargrave, they moved to 14-7-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Liberty will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Falcons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
