Basketball Recap: Fleming County Takes a Loss

Fleming County lost against Campbell County back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Fleming County Panthers lost to the Campbell County Camels at home by a 71-52 margin. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Camels are ranked 22nd).

Fleming County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Campbell County, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Fleming County will square off against Blazer at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Campbell County, they will take on Scott at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Scott has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
