Volleyball Recap: Howland Has No Trouble Against Poland Seminary

Howland's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Poland Seminary Bulldogs 3-0. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Howland never let Poland Seminary on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-21, 25-21.

Howland can attribute much of their success to Gabby Rich, who had 11 digs and two aces.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Harper Vesey, who had 14 digs. Vesey is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played. Avery Jakubovic was another key player, getting 18 digs and one assist.

Howland's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Poland Seminary, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.

Howland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Hoover on the 11th. As for Poland Seminary, they will take on Tuslaw in a tournament on Thursday.
