Basketball Recap: Pasco Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Pasco played a tough matchup on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 61-22 defeat at the hands of the Wesley Chapel Wildcats. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-20.

Eliana Diaz was her usual excellent self, going 8-for-17 to rack up 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and seven steals for Wesley Chapel. Those seven steals gave Diaz a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jurnee Richardson, who posted six points.

This is the second loss in a row for Pasco and nudges their season record down to 1-8. As for Wesley Chapel, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-8.

Pasco has already played their next game, a 34-18 win against Angeline Academy of Innovation on the 9th. As for Wesley Chapel, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 41-23 victory against Zephyrhills on the 13th.
