Preview: Tallulah Falls Indians vs. Athens Christian Eagles
Tallulah Falls has been on the road for five straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Athens Christian Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tallulah Falls will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 462nd, while Athens Christian is ranked 208th).
Last Thursday, Tallulah Falls came up short against Commerce and fell 57-49.
Meanwhile, Athens Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Rabun County with a sharp 81-60 victory. The victory was familiar territory for Athens Christian who now have five in a row.
Tallulah Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Athens Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Tallulah Falls came up short against Athens Christian when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 53-48. Can Tallulah Falls avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
