Recap: Carolina Forest Panthers vs. West Florence Knights
The Carolina Forest Panthers were the 80-72 winner over the West Florence Knights when they last played one another back in February of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. Carolina Forest fell 61-51 to West Florence on Friday.
Despite the loss, Carolina Forest still got an impressive performance from Phillip McLean, who scored 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Sammy McGuire, who scored nine points.
Carolina Forest's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-7. As for West Florence, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
Carolina Forest will be home for the holidays to greet West Florence at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (West Florence is ranked 164th, while Carolina Forest is ranked 157th). As for West Florence, they will head out on the road to face off against Carolina Forest at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Carolina Forest focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday.
