League recap: Fink powers Greenwood with hot hitting week

Landon Fink was the hottest hitter in the league this week, racking up a .500 average, one home run and seven RBIs. His Greenwood team went 3-1.

The Woodmen went from 902 to 792 in the national rankings since last week after going 3-1 in the past seven days. Greenwood is currently No. 20 in the Indiana state rankings, with an overall record of 21-7.

The Woodmen boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks. Greenwood's pitchers have been charged with only 121 hits and have struck out 193 batters. Fink is tops on the staff with 80 Ks.

The Woodmen scored a league-best 41 runs this week, adding to their league-leading 252 runs on the season. Alex Krupa is the team leader in runs scored with 49, while Fink has driven in a team-best 41 runs with his bat.



Tylor Martin led the league with eight hits this week for the Woodmen. He is third in the league with 32 hits this year, and has a .485 batting average.
